Is my organisation in scope for the Industrial Training Levy?

All establishments operated by employers, which are wholly or mainly engaged in engineering construction activities, are registered with the ECITB and annually assessed for industrial training levy.
If employers operate ‘in-scope’ establishments over a certain size, they are required by law to pay industrial training levy to the ECITB. All employers operating in-scope establishments, regardless of size, are eligible to receive grants for training undertaken by their workers.
Details of the engineering construction activities that fall within scope of the ECITB are contained in the Statutory Levy Declaration Guidance.

Moving up from the three-day Introduction to Project Controls, the recommended next step is the ECITB Level 3 Diploma in Project Controls Practice and Techniques (RQF). This substantial vocational qualification builds on foundational knowledge by covering 12 mandatory units, including topics like project controls fundamentals, cost breakdown, scheduling, estimating, risk, and performance monitoring. This qualification normally takes around 36 months to complete. Alternatively, taking on the APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) which we also provide, can serve as a fantastic shorter-term progression path in the PM sector, with desirable credentials.
