Dr. Josie Rothera is a Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng MICE), Consultant Trainer, and the Training & Development Lead. At PLP, she oversees the delivery of Level 4 Associate Project Manager apprenticeship, alongside APM accredited qualifications and other project management courses. Her expertise extends to consulting, project management, and project controls, aligning training initiatives with organisational objectives.
Dr. Rothera holds a Doctorate in Civil Engineering (2023) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). She is actively involved in the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Yorkshire and Humber Regional Committee as a Fairness, Inclusion, and Respect representative and served as an External Verifier for Liverpool John Moores University. Previously, Dr. Rothera co-founded STEER, a CIC focused on mentoring undergraduates in the built environment sector.
Her extensive industry experience includes senior roles at Balfour Beatty, Carillion, and Bovis Lend Lease, where she led projects across various sectors.
