APM PROJECT MANAGEMENT QUALIFICATION (PMQ)

WHAT IS IT?

The Association for Project Management (APM) PMQ course is designed to provide a more advanced treatment of the topics covered in the APM’s ‘Body of Knowledge’. This includes a broad range of project management concepts and terminology and a working understanding of how these can be implemented to deliver successful projects, from individual assignments through to large capital projects.

This course is completed part time, three hours weekly over 15 weeks, with a 3-hour written examination upon completion.

WHO IS IT FOR?

The PMQ is designed for professionals who wish to take the next step in their project careers and acquire a broad range of project management knowledge. Applicants typically have some pre-existing project management knowledge or experience and it is the ideal next step for anyone holding the APM PFQ.

HOW IS IT STRUCTURED?

In advance of the course, delegates will be provided with suitable pre-reading as a pre-requisite for taking the course. If you have any questions whilst you are going through the reading, these can be discussed in the training sessions. Throughout the delivery, there will be an expectation to do ‘homework’ and partake in exercises and group work, as this is an extensive course aimed at those who wish to immerse themselves in the subject matter.

The online course is presented in a classroom style delivery via a live video-conferencing platform. Our experienced tutors will take you through the course materials online where you will be engaged with the delivery and able to clarify any points as they might occur. Official APM sample questions and mock tests will be included in the course to assist with preparation for the exam.
